What is the goal of the Pledge Drive?
Our goal is to raise $140,000 to help fund an entire year of PTA programs and school support through one major fundraiser.
If we reach our goal, we hope to avoid holding another large schoolwide fundraiser later in the year.
What does my donation support?
Pledge Drive donations help fund programs and resources such as:
- Classroom and teacher support
- STEM Classes
- Field trips and educational experiences
- Library and technology resources
- Arts, enrichment, and assemblies
- Music and school equipment
- Student and family events
- Staff appreciation
- Campus and grade-level programs
Funds are spent according to the budget approved by the PTA association, in collaboration with school administration and staff.
Is a donation required?
No. Participation is completely voluntary. Every donation, at any amount, is appreciated and helps support Beacon Park students.
What are the pledge levels?
Families may select one of our suggested pledge levels:
- $100+
- $250+
- $500+
- $1,500+
Families may also enter a custom donation amount. Please refer to the Pledge Drive flyer or online form for the incentives associated with each level.
Are incentives cumulative?
Each published pledge level includes the incentives listed for that level. Donors may also decline physical incentives so that more of their contribution can support Beacon Park PTA programs.
How does my donation count if I have more than one student?
Donations are counted by household and will apply to all students in a family, but each donation is counted only once toward the schoolwide $140,000 goal.
Is there a minimum amount required for classroom participation?
No. A family’s participation matters regardless of the amount donated. Classroom participation calculations are based on the number of participating students, not the size of each family’s donation.
Can grandparents, relatives, or friends donate?
Yes. Extended family members and friends are welcome to support the Pledge Drive. They should include the names and teachers of the Beacon Park students they wish to credit.
Can I donate by cash or check?
Yes. Complete the pledge donation envelope and return it with cash or a check payable to Beacon Park PTA.
Can I donate online?
Yes. Online donations can be made through the Pledge Drive form at www.beaconparkpta.org.
Can my employer match my donation?
Possibly. Many employers offer charitable matching-gift programs. Search for Beacon Park PTA through your employer’s matching-gift portal or contact your employer’s benefits department.
Because matching gifts can take time to process, employer matching donations can only be counted if they are received during the pledge drive.
Can I direct my Pledge Drive donation to a specific program or department?
Pledge Drive donations generally support the PTA’s association-approved budget rather than being designated by individual donors. Beacon Park PTA works closely with Principal Linville and school staff to identify needs and determine how PTA funds can have the greatest impact.
Please contact us before donating if you are interested in making a separate restricted gift.
When will incentives be distributed?
In-stock incentives will be delivered to classrooms on Fridays (Stickers, cards, and cube squishies). Some items, such as jerseys, umbrellas, and stadium cushions, must be ordered in bulk and will be fulfilled at the end of The Pledge Drive.
